When you give to United Way of West Alabama, you immediately become part of the collective power of generosity. You can support 25 agencies and two initiatives through automatic payroll deductions at work, or you can make a one time donation with cash or check, a credit or debit card, or by being billed directly. In addition to putting your dollars to work helping people in need, we are committed to keeping our administrative expenses low. As in the past, we are investing 87% of all donations toward projects and programs throughout West Alabama. This exceeds the Better Business Bureau guidelines suggesting that 65 percent of total expenses for charitable organization be spent on program activities.
